Its Gone Funny!

One minute it was fine, the next...
Computers are so complicated these days that there are a million ways for them to go wrong. So I won't say I've seen it all before. Sometimes I do not immediately know how to fix a problem, but I always know how to find out. I've never had a problem I gave up on.

Here's a selection of problems I've solved in the last couple of weeks:

Computers that ran slowly because of the heinous amount of Spyware on them. Actually, I've seen 3 of these in the last fortnight. I cleaned them up and they are now perky. I also introduced measures to stop it happening again.

A computer that was displaying a lot of things in italic. This puzzled me until I realised that someone had inadvertently deleted some fonts. I re-installed the fonts and straightness was restored.

A computer that was ignoring its keyboard and mouse, which made it hard to talk to! I managed to get into the BIOS and told it not to be silly.

A CD drive that had stopped reading CDs. No point in a CD drive like that, so I replaced it.

A computer that had stopped picking up email. Some foolish Spam filter had messed up the settings.

See if you can stump me with a problem so difficult that I can't fix it. Because if I can't solve it, you don't pay.
